The Nest is empty….

Several days ago I posted on facebook;

New Wind

“Do you smell it? Like a fall breeze that carries the autumn leaves filled with the smell of the tree they fell from, the New Wind is coming. Are you ready for what is to come? Do you smell the New Wind?”

This morning, as I was preparing for my day, I heard “The Nest is empty”. This statement was followed very promptly with “There is Bread in Bethlehem”. These statements took me to the book of Ruth. Naomi had an empty nest, her husband and sons had passed. Her daughter in law Orpah had returned to Moab, but Ruth clung to her! “May your God be my God” she said.

They arrived in Bethlehem and Ruth went to glean barley in the fields after the reapers. There in the fields Boaz met her, saying “You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women. Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young mean not to tough you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.” (Ruth 2:8&9)

I believe we have reached a point where we need to follow the instruction that Boaz gave Ruth. Do not go to glean in another field! Do not turn away and look for comfort, supply, provision or anything else from any other field then that of Our Lord! Do not let your eyes be set upon a field that may appear to have more. Be patient, because the bundles that are full will pass by and will intentionally drop more for you! What you see now is not what you will receive, your double portion is coming! Prepare yourself, glean in the fields that lord has given you.

God bless!

About Cynthia

I was brought up a Mormon but became a skeptic. I was open minded and accepting but did not know what to believe or how to believe in God or Jesus Christ. In the passing my baby boy, at the age of 2 1/2, my eyes were opened to the Lord. In His love I found strength to get through my grief. I found compassion unlike any other. Through God I found Hope!
